THE WORKSHOPS:
Panel Discussion:
The panel is a great chance to see how regenerative farming and gardening looks through the work of 6 local regen educators and coaches. You’ll get to know their areas of expertise, how broadly regenerative practices can be applied, and walk away with a sample of the great workshops you get to attend throughout the day.
Permaculture Plants for the PNW (led by Edge Perma):
Uncover the potential of productive plants that are lesser-known in our region and learn about their many uses. Gain insights into incorporating these plants into your garden or farm through real-life examples of thriving landscapes. By diversifying your plantings, you can enhance the resiliency of your property.
Permaculture + Regenerative Practices for the Home Gardener (led by Eco-Restore):
Learn the foundational principles of permaculture that can be applied to smaller landscapes to make a big difference in production and use of resources.
Cultivating Regenerative Community (led by Black Girl, Country Living):
Community wellness is an essential part of a regenerative system, and it takes intention and practice to cultivate. This is a space to practice through meaningful dialogue about why this work matters personally and collectively. You’ll leave this workshop with a deeper sense of connection to the community of people who care about regenerative futures.
Soil Care Basics (led by Cruising Climate):
What is soil? Why should I care about it? How can I care for it? To answer these questions, we will explore basic soil science, the connections between soil and ecosystem health, and soil care routines you can start implementing right when you get home.
THE BREAK-OUT SESSIONS:
Breathing Room (led by Black Girl, Country Living):
Come drop in for rest or to reset after the day of workshops. Relax on a mat, reflect on the day, and shift your energy with a range of simple breath practices. Meet me in the west loft!
Plant Walk (led by Edge Perma):
Join Mary and Andrew on a plant walk to see some of their favorite plants up close and learn about design strategies for beauty and functionality.
Grow More Food at Home (led by Cruising Climate):
You don’t need more space to grow more food- healthy soil and strategic planning are enough! In this session, we will explore succession planning and garden mapping to help you grow SO MUCH FOOD!
Permaculture zones for a residential space (under 5 acres) (led by Eco-Restore):
Through observing examples of both small and large designs, you will brainstorm how to implement the different permaculture zones at your own home.
